About the Owner

 My name is Dee Fox, proud owner and operator of Bright Futures Child Development Center!  I bring over 18 years experience working in Childcare and 13 years working in the healthcare setting.  I am a devoted mother of 4 children. I operated a licensed home daycare for 2 1/2 years, having to close due to COVID. Bright Futures was born from a dream to re-open and expand my vision of high quality, developmentally focused child- care.  Our center promotes flexible hours, a bilingual and inclusive learning curriculum, and genuine love for children! About Our Center

The mission of Bright Futures CDC is to provide a safe, nurturing, and educational child care program that supports the social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development of each child. We are committed to meeting MSDE child care regulations while promoting positive outcomes for children and families.

Bright Future CDC follows developmentally appropriate practices as defined by MSDE early childhood standards. Children learn through structured and unstructured play, daily routines, and intentional teaching practices. Our program respects individual differences and supports children’s growth at their own developmental level.

Our infant child care program provides responsive care in a safe and sanitary environment. Teachers support early development through individualized routines for feeding, sleeping, diapering, and play. Activities promote sensory development, motor skills, and early language while maintaining compliance with MSDE staff-to-child ratio requirements.

The toddler program supports children’s growing independence, language development, and social skills. Daily schedules include age-appropriate learning activities, indoor and outdoor play, meals, rest periods, and routines consistent with MSDE child care regulations. Teachers guide positive behavior and peer interaction using developmentally appropriate strategies.

Our preschool program provides a structured learning environment designed to support school readiness. Children participate in activities that promote early literacy, math, science, fine and gross motor skills, and social-emotional development. The program aligns with Maryland early learning standards and prepares children for a successful transition to kindergarten.

Bright Future CDC implements a planned curriculum that supports all areas of child development, including cognitive, physical, social, and emotional growth. Lesson plans are age-appropriate, inclusive, and adapted to meet the needs of individual children. Daily schedules include learning centers, teacher-led activities, outdoor play, meals, and rest periods in accordance with MSDE requirements.

The health and safety of children is a top priority at Bright Future CDC. Our program maintains: • Continuous supervision of children • Clean, safe, and developmentally appropriate classrooms • Compliance with MSDE health and safety regulations • Emergency preparedness and evacuation procedures • Up-to-date immunization and child records as required by MSDE

Bright Future CDC values open communication with families. Parents receive ongoing information regarding their child’s development, daily activities, and program policies. Conferences, written communication, and family engagement opportunities support strong partnerships between the program and families.

Bright Future Child Development Center is licensed by the Maryland State Department of Education, Office of Child Care, and operates in full compliance with child care licensing regulations. Staff meet required qualifications, training, and background check standards. Lic #262185
